Insane Troll Logic: A Buffyverse Podcast

This week on Insane Troll Logic, Maggie and Nathaniel struggle with keeping their thoughts on Spike and Drusilla contained to their current incarnations and not several seasons worth of characterization, and also there's the uncomfortable racism of Inca Mummy Girl. But mostly Spike and Dru.

This week, Maggie and Nathaniel begin their arduous trek through season 2 of Buffy with When She Was Bad and Some Assembly Required. Nathaniel tries to battle off a plague and focus on the intensity of Buffy's emotional rampage against her friends and neighbors, while Maggie talks PTSD and the radicalization of young men. Also, the couplings of many major characters are talked about.

Maggie and Nathaniel wrap up season one of Buffy with a pair of "bangers" (Maggie's words). Maggie enthuses about "Out of Mind" guest star Clea Duvall and  compares Prophecy Girl with The Movie, while Nathaniel talks earned consequences and how Prophecy Girl is a sequel to "Never Kill A Boy," and other weird conversations occur. As usual.

Insane Troll Logic talks basic fears with a new episode discussing two late-season entries into the first season of Buffy! Nathaniel talks theater, and inappropriate violence, while Maggie talks incel dummies, vamp makeup and they both like Giles a lot! Come discuss primal fear with Insane Troll Logic!

This week, We cover two more Buffy episodes: first, they discuss the romance and kink of "Angel," and then the awkward and silly of "I Robot, You Jane." So come get Jacked In with Insane Troll Logic and enjoy moments such as Maggie discussing power dynamics and the proliferation of technology while Nathaniel wonders just where, exactly, Jenny Calendar hangs that earring. 

This week, we deal with Owen-y issues like red flag behavior from guys and hyena spirits. Nathaniel makes bad jokes, Maggie has issues with Owen, and they both get (appropriately) disgusted by The Pack.  Comic adaptations, musical choices, and favorite seasons are also talked about, but not as much.

We settle a little into a rhythm and have a good time talking episodes three and four of Buffy. Nathaniel suggests Witch could be a good feel-bad A24 movie, Maggie hates Xander, Nathaniel hates Xander...but they both love Dr.Gregory. 

In our second first episode, we tackle the two-part pilot episode. We're talking awkward beginnings (both us and the show), Nathaniel gets a little too excited about Angel, and Maggie thinks Luke stinks.

In our first ever episode, we introduce ourselves, talk about why we wanted to do a Buffy podcast, apologize for our awkward beginnings (probably too much) and discuss the Buffy movie, which isn't entirely canon but is not not canon. We're a work in progress, indefinitely!
